found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Tristan got lucky when he wandered up to a remote house in Leavenworth County and took up residence on a friendly family’s porch. How in the world did a sweet guy like him end up out in the country alone? Unfortunately, he scared the cats and the family wasn’t able to take on another pet so after 4 days with no owner claiming him, LCHS agreed to take Tristan in. Tristan is SO eager to learn – energetic and engaged. He LOVES people, and would be a FABULOUS running buddy. In the past few weeks, he’s really come along walking on a leash, learning SIT, DOWN, and even a little WAIT and STAY. He’s being cared for and trained by the AWESOME folks at Homestead Pet Resort & Spa in Holton, KS, until LCHS clears a foster space for him. Standard adoption fee for dogs is $125, but that includes sterilization, adult vaccinations, and a microchip. We even send along a leash/collar and crate if needed. That actually saves adopters about half the care costs for a “free to a good home” pet from a truck-bed or a box at Walmart or an ad in the paper. It doesn’t even begin to address what we’re spending on Tristan, but he’s worth it!!
