George's Story...

George was relinquished by his owners to Leavenworth Animal Control. He hadn’t had the best of care or training, but he’s all fattened up now, and we’re working on his manners! George is a royal PRINCE of a dog, SWEET, smart, healthy, knows basic commands, ALMOST totally house trained, and loves everyone he meets so far. Crate trained. Loves belly rubs, playing ball, kisses and to run run run!! George would be a great dog for an active family with children who would keep him entertained! Training support available!! Dogs in LCHS care are on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Adoption fee for dogs is $125 which helps to cover the costs of care provided for George, and allows us to help other pets in the future. E-mail LvnCoHS@live.com for application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Lansing Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Lansing, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Lansing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lansing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lansing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lansing paves the way for another one to be saved.
