Martin is just so precious and his personality speaks for itself. He will come running to you first, never meeting a stranger and wants to get to know everything and everyone. He has the best personality. You can take this dog anywhere with anyone. He shows no aggression with food, toys, people, kids or anything at all. Martin is very intelligent and eager to please. He loves having his belly rubbed and getting all the attention. A rather quiet little man and will bark if someone is at the door, but otherwise is not vocal.
He has energy to burn, is playful, yet loves to sit with his humans and just chill. In the evenings, he loves to sit quietly and snuggle. The ideal home for Martin would be a home with children and a stay at home Mom. He absolutely loves kids and will play well with other dogs. We will not adopt to a home just being an only dog and no one home most of the time. Please do not apply if this is your situation.
If you think Martin might be the perfect guy for you /family, please email EMPTYPOCKETS1@NC.RR.COM for an application.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process, so emails are much preferred. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Adoption fee is $350
All adopters must be 21 or older. All applicants must submit an application for review, which can take up to 14 days to process upon receipt. Once the preliminary application is approved a home visit is required to complete the adoption process. All adopters must enter into a legal and binding contract upon completion of the adoption. Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date on all vaccines, rabies and, microchip heart worm/flea prevention and medical records.
