Jessie's Story...
Meet Jessie! She's a 6 month old shepherd/golden mix who loves nothing more than a nice comfy bed to cuddle in! We rescued Jessie from a high-kill shelter where she had been brought in as a stray. Jessie came to us a little underweight but food wasn't the first thing on her mind - all that this sweet girl wanted was someone to hug her! Jessie's tail never stops wagging and she is always happy to see everyone. She's full of affection and has the most wonderful disposition as well as perfect manners for her a pup her age! She will make a wonderful addition to her new family. If you think you may be interested in adopting Jessie please fill out our Dog Adoption Application and we will contact you!

***Jessie is currently in CARENCRO, LA but is able to be transported to COLORADO. We transport our adopted dogs to Colorado once a month. Jessie's adoption fee is $400, which includes transport. All Acadiana Animal Aid dogs are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, on heart worm, flea, and tick preventative, and microchipped.***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessie, a Denver Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
