Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chewy is a male Yorkshire Terrier weighing in at about 12-lbs and estimated to be 3-4 years old. He is house-trained and enjoys taking long walks. Some of his favorite things....belly rubs, being brushed and curling up in his dog bed or on your lap for a nap. In typical Yorkie fashion, Chewy is curious and likes to explore inside and out. At first he pulled a lot on leash...although he has come a long way, he'll continue to need work on this. He is energetic and loves to play with toys. It's so cute and entertaining to watch him run through the house acting like a puppy.
His life before coming to Adopt-A-Pet was likely one that didn't provide much socialization. He does okay when meeting most new people but he still needs work approaching other dogs when out on walks. We've seen him be fine with some dogs and not so well with others, so for this reason, we think he'll do best in a home where he is the only dog and the center of your attention. Felix is looking for a loving and patient adult family who will be committed to his continued training. In return you'll get a cheerful little dog who will keep you entertained and give you all his affection.
Felix's adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, heartworm test (neg), distemper vaccination, bordetella and rabies vaccinations, fecal test (neg), routine deworming, flea control, heartworm prevention, neuter and microchip.
