My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Calling all Black Lab lovers! Cole is 16 months old and looking for a family to call his own. Cole has that wonderful gentle, sweet, goofy lab personality. He looks like an English Labrador Retriever, with that big heard and huge paws, although we don’t know if he’s a purebred.

Cole loves people and wants to be with you --either sitting on your feet, lying on the floor, or sitting next to you on the couch. He would sit in your lap if you let him, but at 60 pounds he is a bit large for a lap dog. (We know his date of birth, so he’s fully grown with some “filling out” to do.) He likes to go for car rides and jumps right in, then sits on the driver's side.

We also know he is great with kids, fine with other dogs, and well on the way to being house-trained and leash-trained. He does need basic obedience training, but he is eager to please and very food motivated! He is not a barker or a whiner -- just when left alone in a crate, and then only for a few minutes. He would prefer to sleep—you guessed it-- with people, but is fine sleeping alone on his doggy bed in the kitchen.

Cole needs a family that is willing and able to spend time with him to finish his training, since he is still a puppy at heart. If you have the time to invest, this guy is worth the investment!

Cole’s adoption fee is $325, and includes: vet exam, DAPP, Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations; Heart worm test (negative); heartworm preventative, flea tick preventative, deworming, microchip and neuter.
