Hurley-Courtesy Post's Story...
This is Hurley. He is about 2 years old. He is a neutered lab mix and weighs about 65lbs. We found him in late December. He was in rough shape when we found him. He had a severe case of entropion and intestinal parasites. His lower eyelids had too much extra skin and were rolling inward into his eyes causing much pain and irritation. We paid for his surgery to correct this problem, as well as dewormed him, had him microchipped, got him all of his vaccines, and got him on a six month heart worm preventative and a three month flea and tick preventative. We have spent over 1500 in vet bills, but are only asking for a 100 adoption fee.

He loves attention and thinks he is a lap dog. He is very sweet and protective of his owner. He does struggle with sharing attention, so he may be better suited for a family without other pets and with no small children. But his behavioral issues can likely be corrected with training.

Hurley is a courtesy posting and is not offered for adoption by You Lucky Dog Rescue. YLDR explicitly disclaims any liability for any situation arising from the private adoption of this individual animal. Email Misty Chapman misty.chapman@me.com if you are interested in Hurley.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hurley-Courtesy Post, a Alpharetta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Alpharetta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Alpharetta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alpharetta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alpharetta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alpharetta paves the way for another one to be saved.
