Smudge's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Smudge's Story...
My name is Smudge. I got that name from my foster mom because of the smudge of color on the left side of my nose which she thinks is very cute. I am a really cute tabby girl. I was trapped in a trailer park in July of 2015 and taken to my foster mom where I live with lots of other kittens and cats and 2 big dogs. I get along with everyone. I was born about May, 2015.

I have never become comfortable with people. I will only go about 2 feet away and then stop. I travel around the house to see what is going on but no one can get too close to me. I will back up and walk away. I play and interact with the other kittens and cats and I need to be with cats for company. I could not be by myself. I am not aggressive and don’t bite or hiss. I just watch people very intently like I’m trying to figure out what they are doing.

I could be adopted as a companion to another cat, or as an inside/outside cat. I am spayed, litterbox trained, am up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you would like to give Smudge an opportunity for a better life, please fill out a Barn Cat Application on our website. Please go to www.straycatblues.org to access the Stray Cat Blues page, where you can see information on our adoption process and access a link to our online adoption application. And Thank You for considering adopting this cat.

We have many Barn Cats that are currently available, needing homes. If you have a home that needs or could accommodate a couple of Barn Cats (outdoor cats), go to www.straycatblues.org/see-our-cats/barn-cats-information/ for more information on our Barn Cat Program. We have Barn Cats of all ages, many different colorings. They are spayed/neutered and healthy. Some friendlier, others more shy, all in need of a place to call their own. Most of our Barn Cats come from situations where they were living in dangerous conditions. You can make a big difference by adopting Barn Cats!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smudge, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
