My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOKI is a 1 year old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 41 pounds. Loki needs to go to a home with another young energetic dog to help him burn off energy and for company. He is a very happy young boy who loves his toys. Loki understands boundaries really well and seems easy to train. He knows sit and down, and he knows his name. He gets along great with other dogs and is very calm and gentle around them at first. He is learning how to behave around the cats and has made improvements in a short period of time. Loki is a little toy possessive with other dogs, but with training it shouldn't be a problem. He is house trained and crate trained, but he prefers to spend time outside of the crate. He is also great in the car and he only barks when he needs to go out.
Loki is a good puppy who likes to do typical puppy things, such as eating sticks, chasing balls, chewing and tugging on toys. He likes being brushed, being outside, and surveying his domain. He is a great walker (3-4 times a day) and does well at dog day care, playing with other dogs and generally getting very tired out. Loki needs a family who is firm with him, or he will try to test his boundaries. Loki needs to continue his obedience training and continue getting exercise and playing with other dogs. Loki is approved for kids ages 12+.

Update: Loki is doing great in his foster home. His foster mom absolutely loves him, and thinks he's such a character. He has the perfect amount of energy - outside he loves to run around and play, and once in the house, he's ready to settle. Loki enjoys playing with other dogs (without toys) but he also really seems to love the companionship of his human, so he can go to a home as a solo dog IF the human(s) is home most of the day, as Loki doesn't enjoy being totally alone.

Update:: Loki gets along great with other dogs (but is very territorial over toys with other dogs, so there should be no toys around). He is GREAT on a walk and hangs out beside you. He is also doing well in his crate during the day and sleeps outside of it at night and does well. He likes to play with other dogs and will relax and cuddle. He has the perfect energy. He is a really sweet dog.

Update: 10 reasons you should adopt Loki:
1. Look at that face!
2. He knows many commands
3. He is great with other dogs
4. He has the perfect amount of energy
5. He is GREAT on walks
6. He is the perfect age if you are looking for a young dog. ( He is 18 months)
7. He is super super sweet!
8. He is crate trained
9. He is house trained
10. Who wouldn't want to be greeted by his cuteness every day!

Update: Loki is sweet, fun, and an overall great dog. Such a handsome young pup

Update:: Loki is a gem! He has fast become a kennel favorite and the staff loves to show him off. See him on YouTube here: http://youtu.be/FlLfENRBqRk He loves to fetch and is a smart guy and already knows his commands!
