Meet Chubby! This handsome dude is an middle age Basset mix. Chubby was found to have a heavy heartworm burden and has since been treated. He did have some complications during treatment that required medical attention, but now he's fit as a fiddle. He needs to continue on activity restriction for a few more weeks, but honestly this guy is so low key he restricts himself. IF your looking for a super senior hound this is your man!

9/5 update:   Chubby loves to play with his furry foster siblings - he has a lot of energy and they help him burn it! He loves to run along the fence so it would be awful nice if he moved to a furever home that has a fenced in yard. He enjoys walks twice daily. Chubby is probably best suited for older children given his age and even better to move into a home where his people aren't gone too much - he doesn't love it when they leave.

About Mostly Muttz Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Mostly Muttz Rescue is an IRS registered, 501(c)3, public charity that is an all-volunteer, foster based canine rescue striving to keep man’s best friend from dying alone in the shelter system.

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
