Valentine's Story...
Valentine is a whippet mix that came from a high kill shelter in Georgia. She was moments away from being put to sleep because the shelter didn't have any more room. Her owner turned her in because they simply didn't have time for her anymore. She is 2 and 1/2 years old, potty trained, and enjoys attention. She LOVES attention and follows her foster mom everywhere. She is very sweet, and will warm up to you once she knows you won't harm her. Since she is used to being in a family environment, she would fit right into a new home. She seems to be good with kids and other dogs. Valentine is shy at first, but once she is given attention she warms right up and wants to be your couch mate and best buddy. She enjoys people and really needs a home to call her own. Please consider giving Valentine a permanent home-one that won't give up on her simply because they don't have time. Valentine's adoption fee is 250.00 Visit our website at www.MuttsMatterRescue.com for more details or to fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Valentine, a Rockville Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet for sale in Rockville, or seeking a Whippet dog from a breeder in Rockville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet breeders who help with Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockville paves the way for another one to be saved.
