Doc's Story...
Doc is a wonderful young male shepherd mix. We think he has some Bermese Mountain dog in him. But he is a beautiful mutt for sure! Doc had been in a shelter in Georgia and was out of time. He had been there for months, and his time was up. The shelter loved him and did not want to have to put him down just to make room for other dogs-but they had no choice. So they begged us to take him and we did. The person that picked him up at the shelter (along with the 5 hounds we pulled), had this to say. "I could not have asked for a better group of dogs to travel with inside my van, today. The pups and Doc all seem happy, healthy and are resting well after a good meal. If there was ever a dog that would make a good companion it is Doc. He is a happy feller and seems extremely smart. He does seem a little storm shy, but not very bad at all. He loved on Gwen, Landon and myself. " This sweet, innocent, boy is a living, breathing example of why we must continue to fight to end pet homelessness. Dogs like Doc should not suffer in silence. Someone will be very lucky to have him as part of their family. Doc's adoption fee is $300. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped. Can you make room in your home for Doc? Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doc, a Rockville Bernese Mountain Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Rockville, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog dog from a breeder in Rockville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockville paves the way for another one to be saved.
