Fia's Story...
My name is Fia. I am currently being fostered in Tennessee, with a friend to Mutts Matter Rescue, but will be traveling north and fostered in the Northern Virginia the week of August 22nd. I was living with the people who were supposed to love me, but they made me stay outside all the time, and everyone knows a pug can't live like that...seriously, the heat could have killed me. Finally, one of our neighbors confronted the people about how they were treating me and the people who did not love me told the neighbor to take me. Fortunately for me she did. She asked the nice lady who helps MMR and loves all pugs to find me a new home. Now I get to snuggle on the couch and play with other pugs while in my foster home. I am 1-2 years old, and am spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on heart worm preventative. You can see from my picture that i am VERY cute. I tend to want to hog the attention at my foster home, but it is mostly because no one ever paid any attention to me. I will need to learn that my new family can love me and any other dogs if they have any in the home. I am not mean at all, but can get upset if I feel like I am not getting my fair share of attention. Assurances from my foster mom have brought me a long way. I love toys, food, and naps, too. I am basically still a puppy. My foster mom is proud to say that I am almost totally housebroken, and respond well to a schedule. In a word, I am adorable. If you would like to welcome me into your life, fill out an application today. My adoption fee is $400

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fia, a Rockville Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Rockville, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Rockville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockville paves the way for another one to be saved.
