Lana's Story...
Lana is a sweet and shy hound mix. She loves to go and check out new places. She was a stray that had run out of time in a local shelter. She came to us underweight and starving for attention. She has decided she likes to be inside and with her people. She is in a home with several other large dogs and does well with them. She isnt a fan of energetic puppies, they tend to get on her nervs with their exuberance. She is not a fan of being crated but does well when she isnt crated. She loves chew toys and isnt aggressive about them but she will hoard them if given opportunity.. she does the same with toys, if she doesnt destuff them first. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She is fostered in Huntsville, AL. Please apply for Lana at www.forrescue.net/dog-application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lana, a Chattanooga Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
