My name is Gallagher
When my mom fell sick and ended up in the hospital with cancer she asked a dog walking friend to take care of me and even though that person agreed she still left me at an off island shelter. So while my mom was lying in her hospital bed receiving treatment she got news of where I was and there was nothing she could do to help me other than contact the people at CAA Rescue. I joined the CAA Rescue foster family that very same day
Do not be surprised when you meet me – I do have a kink in my tail but I was born like that!! When I was a puppy I had a pretty short tail so it was not as visible but now that I have grown up some it is more pronounced
I am a happy and joyful guy! I do live with other dogs in foster care and am loving it
I am house trained with no accidents in foster care
And am pretty good on the leash but sometimes when I get too excited when walking with the other doggies so I can pull so I will need a little on going training to help me with that. Generally if I am on my walk alone I am pretty well behaved for such a young man
By all accounts I am still a baby boy! Only coming up to one year of age and boy oh boy what I have been through in that one year is really something crazy!
At this time I show no toy of food possession or aggression in foster care. Although I am an overly enthusiastic eater to say the very least … I do like my nomie noms!
Inside the home for the most part I am a quiet and calm boy although from time to time I do like to play wrestle with the other doggies in my foster home
I have been left alone for some extended time and for the most part I was a good boy just getting into the odd and occasional puppy nonsense … I have chewed a newspaper or two but nothing extreme just normal puppy boredom kicking in. Mainly random things left around the house that you do not even think about are the items I decide are mine :)
I love to play ball and run like the wind! My current favorite toy is an old basket ball
Like I mentioned I am pretty quiet in the home but when I am outside playing I have to be sure to let the whole neighborhood I am playing … you know just in case they want to come out and join in the fun!
I did live with cats a very long time ago but currently have not been around any the same goes with young children,

A 3-Step process to adopt one of our foster dogs.
1. Fill the adoption form. It might seem long, but it’s the best way to find the right dog for you and your family!
2. We’ll arrange a meeting with the foster family of the dog you want to meet so you can see if s/he’s the right one for you.
3. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to agree to a home visit, fill-in and sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
