Sharkie's Story...
A beautiful merle catahoula that we are calling Sharkie is currently looking for a forever home. He is approximately 2 years in age and we have learned that he is quite a friendly guy. LOVES to receive belly rubs - super sweet and affectionate. He gets along with dogs nicely, cats are unknown. He landed at the shelter as a stray originally and we were lucky to be able to receive him into our rescue group. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and now hoping to land a perfect home! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sharkie, a Richmond Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
