My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** This is a courtesy posting, please contact owner directly for more information ***
Cap’n Jack Sparrow (or just Captain to his crew) is a kind but demanding master. He is a 2 year old, 20 pound mixed breed neutered male with the likeness of a mini border collie. His vaccines are current, he has a microchip, and he is on heartworm preventative. He loves playing fetch and going for hikes up to 3 miles, but at the end of the night he just wants a warm body to snuggle up to. He learns very quickly and is kennel trained, although he could easily transition to your bed! He was intently focused on our bunny and cats when we first brought him home, but now he hardly notices them. He is in love with our female Australian Shepherd and plays very rough with her, but strongly dislikes our pit bull/boxer mix, Dudley, getting any attention. They don’t fight, he just growls at Dudley until Dudley stops wagging his tail or soliciting attention from his people. We adopted Captain last fall, when Delta Humane Society ran out of pet food donations so I organized a food drive for them. While dropping off the food, we noticed Captain in a back kennel and my 10 year old son fell in love. Captain is an ideal size for him to walk and had a lot of energy to play with him. As much as we love him, and he is a great dog, he really hates our male dog, Dudley. We have had him in our home for just over a year hoping they would grow to tolerate each other, and love him dearly, but it’s not fair to Dudley to be hated daily. If anyone would like to meet him, feel free to call me at 925-321-5880 or email amyoung003@me.com.
