Luke's Story...

Luke was originally adopted out from the pound only to be dumped back in there just because his coat color did not match the lame people’s furniture. Returned dogs are always the first to be killed in the pound, so we rushed to his rescue. He’s now safe and sound, but needs a home he can call his own. He’s very sweet and gentle. He’ll make someone out there very happy and whose life complete.

If you are interested in meeting Luke, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.

[Luke is about 6 years old and weighs 14 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Marina del Rey Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
