The last to be saved during our 2016 Operation Shelter pull. This beautiful girl stole all of our hearts! She came out with a smile that melted all of our hearts and that one blue eye is just stunning. Poor girl was so dirty her gorgeous coat was yellow! She clearly belonged to someone at some point, but they obviously didn't care for her the way a girl should be cared for.
Effie is a big girl who is very confident. She's a mature girl, maybe 4 years old or so. She would do great in a home where she is queen and can get plenty of belly rubs, her fav! She’s GREAT with other dogs (although we have not had her with any tiny tots – she would probably be just fine, but her size might intimidate them)! Effie does doggie daycare daily with 15-20 other medium to large dogs. She has exceptional manners and plays perfectly with others. She’s a super happy girl and would be a wonderful addition to most any family. She’s also a big love bug and if you let her, she will climb right up in your lap to snuggle.
Check her out playing with fellow SHR Alums, Mason and Charlie HERE! She also loves to play fetch! Check her out HERE mastering her catching technique! She LOVES hanging out with the boys, click HERE to see her playing with SHR fellow adoptables, Marco & Polo!
She is currently heartworm positive (not contagious) but please don't let that keep you from meeting her. Scout's Honor is treating me through the "slow-kill" method of treatment and we would be more than happy to discuss it with you.
Can you help us find Effie her perfect home?
