And now, a few words from me:

Hi, my name is Annabelle and I’m looking for a forever home. I used to live with someone else far away but my beloved owner passed away and I came to Ottawa to find a new home. Right now I live with three other dogs and we get along pretty well but I would love to be an only dog so that I can give you lots of love. Do you have a hand that is free and likes to pet little dogs? I sure like to be petted (hint, hint). Is there room at your house and in your heart for me to live with you forever? There’s room in my heart for you. PS: Do you like the picture of me and the new hand-made coats that I got for Christmas? Thanks, Secret Santa!

And now, a few words from my foster mom:

Annabelle is a lovely little girl. She eats well, gets along well with the other dogs and likes to sleep under the blankets right next to her foster mom. Annabelle has been spayed, had a dental done and is up-to-date on her shots. She had a urinary tract infection when she arrived but that cleared up beautifully with antibiotics. Although the vision in her left eye is slightly impaired from an old scratch on the cornea, she manages quite well. She is able to go up and down stairs easily and enjoys spending time lying on the grass or rolling on it. During the work week, she is quite comfortable being crated and now goes in without prompting when it’s suppertime. She loves to be patted but, if you start, don’t plan on stopping anytime soon because she’ll stick her little nose under your hand to very politely ask for more! Annabelle, as many chihuahuas has a will of her own and will do best with someone with a firm hand. She’s really a sweet little dog.

Our Adoption Process...

In order to adopt from us, you need to complete an adoption application. Follow this link

Once the application is completed, it will be reviewed for suitability, and if yes, we will book a telephone interview with you, and check the veterinary and personal references that you provided. If that goes well, a home visit will be booked, and if your home is safe, the adoption can proceed. You will be required to execute and adoption contract and pay a set adoption fee
