Poppy's Story...
Poppy was rescued in January from a local Circle K, born into a managed cat colony. In the wild, Poppy sustained a terrible eye injury, in which we thought she has lost the entire eye. We were delighted to learn that while it was a traumatic eye injury, the eye was intact, and best of all, she did not lose her vision. With the help of antibiotics, her eyes has healed beautifully and she's doing so great! She is a completely delightful little cat, full of purrs and love! She begins to purr in anticipation of cuddles - you can hear it as you approach! She enjoys watching cat YouTube videos with her foster and will be the perfect little companion once she gets used to her new home. She loves to snuggle and get cozy!

Check out her photos below and on YouTube to see what an adorable little kitten she is!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy, a Port Orange Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Port Orange, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Port Orange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Orange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Orange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Orange paves the way for another one to be saved.
