Star's Info...

Star's Story...
Star (from Star Wars)
Born 12/28/15
Mom looks like a white Dalmatian without all the spots.
Mom is only about 35 lbs but we think pups will be bigger.

current weight: ~ +15 lbs and growing
Guesstimate of adult size: 45-50 lbs.
Guess Breed: Lab Mix (multiple breeds)
Very well socialized with multiple dogs (big, little, grouchy, fun, old, young, etc.)
Socialized with people at adoption event
Arrived in rescue when 2 days old.
Born and raised in home environment

Puppy personality: the confident but sensitive one. Star was the smallest puppy who would be the first to venture through the house and explore. She is also used to being surrounded by dogs and her foster mom works from home. Because of this, we REQUIRE her to have another CANINE BUDDY in the home! This will help her adjust quicker and feel safe.

NOT a barky litter (mom rarely barks)

*not crate-trained (hates the crate)
*not house-trained (working on it)

Dogs Unlimited Rescue does not adopt any dog to families with children under 5 years old.

Star has a great temperament and is going to make a family very happy! Please only apply if you and your family is ready for a brand new puppy. She will need to continue her socialization with more people and more dogs. Classes would be best.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.

Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org

And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Cleveland Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cleveland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Cleveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cleveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cleveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cleveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
