About Livingston Parish Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are a parish run shelter, we are not a public intake, but take in dogs from the Parish sheriffs office. We start their adoption process as soon as the are due out of quarantine, they are temperament tested the best they can be in the shelter environment and completely vetted while in our care.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open at the shelter Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. We also hold Off site adoptions 1-2 times a month, generally at the Denham Springs Tractor Supply and if invited out to special events or support businesses by invitation only.

Our Adoption Process...

Our Adoption Fees generally run $80.00. Sometimes the are lowered after a private sponsor pays part of the adoption fee. We always include the sponsors in their bio. All dogs are spay/neutered, all shots including their Rabies and their tags. They are dewormed, defleaed and Heart worm Tested and also started on prevention.
