After having Panda only short period of time so far she has shown great progress in settling into our lifestyle. Panda connects well to her handler and has shown great love to our two (human) children already. When strangers are present she does have some anxiety and feels the need to stay close to her handler. Panda has two foster cat siblings she likes to chase but in good fun and two foster dog siblings. Initially Panda was not a fan of the dogs but she quickly warmed up to them. She has been playing great with her siblings, however sometimes a little more temperamental with her foster sister but once they really get playing they do well. She has had a couple quarrels over food so she is fed separately from her foster dog siblings and when given treat and toys is also kept separate. Panda is slowly but surely learning new commands. She will need obedience training, some work with the food aggression (it appears geared only to the dogs, not us), and would make a great agility dog because of her energy. She has good energy (not over the top like some dogs) and would play as long as you would let her but has a good ‘off switch’ and will go lay down when you are ready to relax at the end of the night. Panda will make a great family member whether it is with other dogs or as an only dog, but a home where she can be active would be great! Please contact Shelly if you would be interested in adopting her.
