Tilly's Story...
Tilly is a miracle dog! She is a gorgeous six year old Maltese that was a hit by a car when she was a filthy and starving stray dog on the streets. Luckily someone grabbed her as the car sped away and they reached out to us immediately. Tilly had a broken pelvis on both sides and the wonderful Dr Olds performed surgery to repair her severe breaks. This beautiful and sweet girl, who is sight impaired, went through months of recovery but we are pleased to say she is fully recovered and doing great! She lives with a wonderful foster and is great with kids and adults alike. While fine with

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tilly, a Santa Monica Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Santa Monica, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Santa Monica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Monica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Monica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Monica paves the way for another one to be saved.
