Here's what the humans have to say about me:
RJ is a 3-5 year old collie/sheltie mix. He is UTD on all vaccines and is heartworm negative weighing in at a mere 48lbs.
R.J. was left when his owners moved away. Yes, we know, "who does that?" The neighbors cared for him until they contacted rescue.
RJ has a personality more like a sheltie than a collie. He is sweet and friendly and shows no aggression towards people. He gets along with cats and dogs alike.
R.J. is not a big barker which is nice. We are still working on the house training as he was an outside dog and of course not neutered. Once those hormones wear off he will figure things out quickly like most do.
RJ is crate trained and we are working on leash training as that is new to him as well. He will need a home with a fence and we think a home without small children would be best for this guy.
RJ is a happy sweet little boy, but he's scared and unsure at this time and will require some extra time, attention and patience. RJ is a happy little tail wagger.
R.J. is in West Virginia at his foster home.
Only serious inquires please!
If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application on our website. Our organization is run by volunteers and it is hard for them to answer all the emails that come in about dogs. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you.
