CASEY's Story...
This is Casey, our male Border Collie mix. He is a fun, happy dog with tendencies consistent with his breed; he will herd, and can be a bit aloof at times. Casey does get along with the other dogs in his pack and enjoys playing. Casey is truly an even-tempered boy who is very well-balanced and easy to be around. He is energetic but not hyper. He does need work on his ball retrieving skills, but he is a Border Collie, so Casey will need plenty of exercise. He is doing very well with crate training and is reluctant to go in because he prefers to continue playing with his buddies. Once inside, he settles in quickly and it's lights out. Casey is ready for an active person or family of his own.

He is available now, and can be adopted before we arrive at PetSmart in Wheaton, IL on Saturday, March 12th. Please complete an online application, which you can find on our website at No in-store, same day adoptions are available.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CASEY, a Wheaton Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Wheaton, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Wheaton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wheaton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wheaton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wheaton paves the way for another one to be saved.
