I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with cats.
Piper - BARN NEEDED's Story...
Piper arrived at HSoMC on 12/31/15 after being trapped by a volunteer who saw him struggling on his own. When he came into the shelter, we weren't sure if Piper was in severe pain, feral, or both...you see his front leg was BADLY broken. After careful evaluation it became painfully obvious that amputation of the leg (which had likely been hurt for a while) was our only option. As it turned out Piper is also quite feral. He has VERY little interest in humans and will lash out when he is scared or feels threatened. We've held him at the shelter in hopes that his trust would build and just maybe he could become an inside cat, but Piper has decided that is not meant to be. He prefers his space and as a cat who's been feral and outdoors his entire life, he's telling us despite his disability, he still needs his space! One volunteer has been able to gain minimal handling with him in order to take care of his necessities.
At this time we are looking for a VERY SECURE barn home placement for Piper. An enclosed area, like a large horse barn or even garage would be ideal. He will not want interaction with humans but should do fine with other animals and gets around quite well on his 3 legs!
Please share Piper and help us find him the safe placement he needs! Piper is neutered, vaccinated, fiv/felv tested, and microchipped.
NO ADOPTION FEE!
Piper - BARN NEEDED is not used to being around people and is looking for a safe barn home setting. Shelter, food, water, and love (if they want it) will need to be provided. All Barn Cats have No adoption fee, and are spayed/neutered, and vaccinated, fiv/felv tested, and microchipped when possible.
