Lilly's Story...
Lilly came to CRSD due to economics. She was a very loved dog and she shows it with all her kisses. She seems to love all humans she meets, likes other dogs for play time, but would rather be in a lap or walking with her human. She does well at the dog park, knows basic commands, and is just a year and half old. She is now about 8 pounds but is on a diet and exercise plan. It would be hard to find a dog as good as Lilly for a family or a single that is looking for someone to love. For more info on Lilly please send in your application to adopt found on our web page http://chihuahuarescueofsandiego.com/adoption-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
