My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lois Lane is a very quiet kitty. When she came to the center, this 1-year-old girl arrived with 4 newborn babies. Though still quite young herself, she proved to be an excellent mommy and they all grew into healthy, happy and playful balls of fur. In her short life Lois has not had a lot of love shown to her. She is still learning that people are safe and want to befriend her. Her affection is not quickly given initially, but once she trusts you she is a very sweet girl indeed. She loves treats and having her head scratched. This petite kitty would do best in a quiet home with a loving and patient family. Lois deserves to be given the time to become a well loved housecat and we know she has it in her. If you would like to become her rescue hero, contact us today to meet Lois Lane.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, veterinary exams, and current vaccinations while in our care. This fee helps to defray the costs incurred for these and other pre-adoption expenses.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia, and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
