Riley's Story...
Riley is a charming 1-2 year old yellow lab, weighing around 50 lbs. He will absolutely steal your heart as soon as you meet him! He is 100% potty trained, crate trained, he plays excellent with other dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He loves to run around inside of a fenced yard, and he loves a good game of chase! He enjoys going for walks and is learning how to walk on a leash. He is great with kids but he may prefer a home with older kids because he gets scared if he is chased by small children. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and we consider him to be pretty much the perfect dog! He loves stuffed animal toys and he LOVES being close to his human. He is a great companion! You can fill out an application for Riley here: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/. Once received, we will forward it to his foster mom and she will answer al of your questions! He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, dewormed, and current on Trifexis. He is located in Huntsville, AL, but he is available for adoption in your area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Knoxville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
