About my Behaviour:

I love people - even strangers, and best of all, I have been trained not to jump up on people that I meet. I tend to prefer the company of men more than women, but I have been super sweet with my foster mom.

As I lose weight, I am becoming more and more active. One of my favorite activities is long walks, but I have not yet been loose leash trained and like to pull on the leash. I would benefit greatly from a harness in my forever home. I am also great off leash and I check back regularly with my foster mom while we are out.

In my previous home I was free-fed and picked at my food throughout the day. When the other dogs in my home were fed I would hover over my bowl, but I didn’t act aggressively, and could be easily moved out of the way so the other dogs could eat.

How’s my Health?

I recently lost a lot of weight, but there is still more to go as I am still overweight. I did have some soreness with my right hind leg, but with the recent weight loss, that pain has eased up.

I have been spayed and will be fully vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Edmonton Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
