Mindy's Story...
Hi, my name is Mindy. I am about 2 to 3 years old and weigh about 50 pounds. I still have some puppy in me! I am living with my foster mom while I recuperate from surgery. I will be available for adoption in March. My foster mom says I am the color of cinnamon toast and a glass of cold milk – quite delicious! I am housebroken and quite sweet and loving. I am also very obedient. I am working with my personal trainer and foster mom to coordinate and master visual and verbal commands although I do know some basic commands already! I am also working on loose leash walking and getting better every day! I love to play and like other dogs (that’s the puppy in me). I am learning to do puzzles, and love to play fetch and tug ‘o’ war but my playing is restricted while I am recovering from my ACL surgery. Oh, by the way, I LOVE car rides and am a good traveler. My foster brother is a 16 year old Bichon, he doesn’t like to play and I am respectful of him. I could be a one and only or live with a brother or sister close in size and age. I am very comfortable in a house and am very well behaved.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mindy, a Manahawkin Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Manahawkin, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Manahawkin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manahawkin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manahawkin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manahawkin paves the way for another one to be saved.
