Athena's Story...
Athena is fostered in Huntsville, AL, and is approximately 18M old. She is a bouncy, begging, beautiful bobtail cat needs all the love you can give her. She is an amazing cat that has integrated in a multi-cat home within two days, and is biting at the bit to find her forever home! She loves her food and is no stranger to adventure. Her favorite toy is her round crinkle ball that she knocks around and fetches, carrying it around in her mouth. She is playful and energetic, but will be found at your legs in the morning, waiting to be petted, loved, and of course...fed. Please consider her as the newest addition to your home. She is felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. To set up a visit and/or adoption, the first step is to complete an application online at www.forrescue.net/cat-application/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
