My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Tiberius. I used to have a home and family, but they moved and didn't take me with them. I was left out on the streets and I got into fights with other tomcats in the neighborhood. A nice lady fed me and then brought me here. During my exam the found out I had FiV, which made me scared at first, but the ladies here said FiV is no big deal. In fact, they love cats with FiV. FiV just means my immune system is not as strong as other non-FiV cats, so I need to find a home where I'll get good food and kept indoors for the rest of my long, happy life. Sounds like an easy deal to me!

Come in a see what an awesome cat I am! I love to be petted; when you decide to pet me, you better be committed because I'm in it for the long haul! I love to be brushed and lay in the sunbeams. I've never been around dogs, but would probably do best without them.

And if you're wondering, FiV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus. I know, it sounds scary, but it's really not. Cats with FiV can live long, healthy lives - all it really means is that my immune system is a bit compromised, but as long as you keep my inside and feed me good food, there's no reason to worry. Another interesting fact is that cats with FiV are more awesome that non-FiV cats - at least that's what the volunteers here say.
