Black Fin Tuna's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Black Fin Tuna's Story...
Black Fin Tuna spent all of December 2015 sneaking into a garage in NW Rochester for food but he hid from people. To our knowledge he was not fed over Christmas break.

In January 2016 he was confined to that garage and took shelter in the rafters except for when he came down to eat. On 1-21-16, Camp Companion captured him in a live trap. Black Fin Tuna hid behind the toilet in his foster home for 10 days. On 2-1-16 his foster mom melted his heart with tuna fish.

Tuna is now a big talker, he comes when he is called and has a huge purr. This sweet, gentle guy is very tidy and loves a nice lap.

All adoptable pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about adoption, please contact Camp Companion at 507-951-7801, www.campcompanion.org, or find us on Facebook!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Black Fin Tuna, a Rochester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
