Susie's Story...
Susie is an Aussie/Shepherd mix born approximately 5-1-2015. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, house trained, loves children, other dogs and water. She's somewhat skittish at first but warms up quickly. She has never been around cats so it's uncertain how she would react to them. She has a good bit of energy and needs a fenced yard to run and play. A fenced yard and vet reference are required for her adoption. Adoption fee is $65.00. If interested please send your contact information and vet reference to natchitocheshopeforpaws@yahoo.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Susie, a Natchitoches Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Natchitoches, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Natchitoches.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Natchitoches already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Natchitoches breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Natchitoches paves the way for another one to be saved.
