This laid back little guy is Peanut, also known at Nutty. He is an 8 year old black and tan Chihuahua mix, who weighs about 8 pounds. Peanut is very sweet, friendly and trusting. His perfect day would include hanging out with his people and getting belly rubs.
He does not like larger dogs, but gets along with smaller ones. Peanut does not seem to like cats either. He keeps to himself most of the time and does not play with his foster siblings.
Peanut comes neutered, micro chipped and up to date on vaccines. He walks great on a leash and rides well in the car. He has free reign of the house during the day and sleeps in a doggie bed at night. He probably would be happy to share a human bed too!
Peanut does not have many teeth, and usually eats softer food, however, he is known to grab some hard kibble and eat it. When that happens, he usually takes an extra piece back to a safe place and guards it. He does not like to share his food, but is now able to eat next to a calm dog.
Because Peanut is so small, the ideal family will not have young children. Older, considerate kids or adults would be a perfect fit for this sweet boy.
