Rooster (in CT)'s Story...
Rooster is about 4 years old. He's a beautiful cat, mostly white with orange tabby markings, eager for a new home. He likes to talk--he'd be ideal for someone who likes to have conversations with their cat! Very friendly & affectionate. His orange head, his vocalizing, & his big plume of a tail all make his name fitting! (No crowing tho--just "talking"--see the video.)

He has been tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) & FeLV (feline leukemia virus) & found to be negative, and is already neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rooster (in CT), a East Hartford Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in East Hartford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in East Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
