Hello world! Let me tell you how my life started.... I was born in a rural shelter in WV on a cement floor with just a little bed for my mommy and my 6 siblings. Mommy wasn't happy about being a mom cause she was really young and well I thought we tried to be good but we were hungry and we didn't give mommy much 'space' so she decided she didn't want to feed us anymore and the shelter workers had to take us and feed us cause we were getting really hungry and mommy would kick us out of the little bed unto the cement floor and it was hard and cold :(
We are pretty happy now cause we are in a foster home and we get fed lots and its good stuff and our foster mommy doesn't seem to mind taking care of us :)
If you would like to meet any of us you need to fill out an application.
2nd Chance requires that we go to a home with a physical fence since we are Beagles :)
Please understand we do not adopt out to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A dog is a lifetime commitment. The dogs in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners :( We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the dog is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
