Facts about Kokoshka

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Calico Or Dilute Calico
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Kokoshka is one unique lady! Deaf and four paw declawed prior to admission here, Kokoshka has spent a lot of her time perched high on our 1st floor watching the daily activities of the shelter. She is the perfect blend of independence and companionship; she won’t demand to have your attention all the time more than likely! Rather she will quietly spend her time snoozing on a soft blanket on a chair. Kokoshka is asthmatic as well, so her light snorts, wheezes, and medication just give her a bit more character. Kokoshka could fare well in a home without another cat, or potentially with the right kind of mellow companion, so if you are looking for a petite package of sugar & spice then look no further! Koko currently resides in a long-term foster home while she awaits her forever home-- just let a counselor know if you would like to schedule a time to meet her at her temporary residence!

Our Adoption Process...

At Tree House, our goal is to find a good fit between cat and guardian. Our trained adoption counselors talk with prospective adopters to best understand their wants and needs. Visitors then tour our cageless facility to meet our rescued cats who are waiting for a forever home. We encourage individuals to take as much time as they need to find their new best friend and make sure it will be a good fit (and can visit multiple times). Ultimately, we want every match to be a happy and healthy one and individuals to take their time versus being rushed to make a decision. Adoption applications stay on file for three months.

Adoption fees of $85 help cover the cost of a cat's care at Tree House including: spay or neuter, deworming, flea treatment, FIV and FeLV testing, AVID microchip, veterinary examination, and necessary vaccinations. We also give a 30-day health guarantee on all of our adoptions.
