Misty's Story...
"Hello, friends. My name is MISTY, and I'm a happy and friendly pit bull sweetheart who came to the El Cajon Animal Shelter because my owners didn't have time for me. Maybe it's for the best, since I do want to be a member of the family, and I do want to be a loyal companion. I'm just seven months old, so I love to play with toys. Like most dogs, I'll need daily exercise to be at my best. I'll also require a yard where I can romp around. I love to play with other dogs, and I'd be a great family pet. I know how to sit on command, and I'm ready to learn anything else you'd like to teach me. I respond well to positive reinforcement, especially if that involves a treat. Won't you please come visit me? The shelter has a really nice play yard where we can spend time getting to know each other better. I hope you'll stop by soon, as I'm ready for somebody to love me. Love, Misty"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a El Cajon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
