Lotus's Story...
Hello there! My name is Lotus. I am a 4 month old Retriever/Patterdale mix we think. A Patterdale is like a mini lab. My coat is as soft as silk and will make you want to sit around and pet me all day long. I'm a gentle and shy little guy who is looking for a loving home. I may need a little time to warm up and trust you so please be patient with me. I really like playing with plush toys and eating treats. I hope that you'll give me the home that I've been waiting for. My adoption fee is $225 it includes 2 sets of vaccines, rabies, microchip, dewormer, microchip, neuter, vet exam and first month of heart worm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lotus, a Baton Rouge Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
