Deep Eddy is, at best guess, a Bassett Hound mixed with a Jack Russell and is approximately 3 years old. He is strong, fast, energetic, and super smart!
Deep Eddy walks well on a leash and really enjoys a 3 mile or longer walk daily. He wants to be with you when you are at home, included in the family activities, and LOVES to chew rawhide retriever rolls (1-2 per day). While he is non-destructive inside, he still has housebreaking issues. On occasion he has a hard time holding his bladder through the night (even when crated), but keeping a consistent schedule really helps prevent accidents. He is not fond of other dogs, so being an only pet is best for him. He is also territorial and requires consistent positive reinforcement when guests come to visit.
Eddy will thrive in the right environment with people committed to helping him learn to relax and trust.
Currently he is given medication twice daily to help him calm down.
*Only indoor homes will be considered. Fenced yard preferred.
Deep Eddy's adoption fee will be $175 and includes neuter, veterinary wellness exam, microchip and vaccinations.
