ADOPTED! Flora's Story...
NOTE: This dog's fosterhome is located in: ****Auburn, California**** Flora has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes! Flora is a beautiful 1-year-old girl, who was surrendered to the shelter by her owner. Once she gets to know you (just a few minutes), she is a total love bug. It took a few days of daily walks for her to calm down and now she looks forward to her walks. She is crate trained, okay with dog-savvy cats, good with dogs, and working on perfecting house training. Quick movements of young children would more than likely frighten her. She weighs 12 pounds and stands 12” tall. Flora will need someone that will continue to work with her socialization and take her to obedience classes to increase her confidence and bring out her full potential. She also loves to run, run, run, and run some more, so she would probably like Agility or Flyball. Please see more photos of this sweet girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ADOPTED! Flora, a Arkadelphia Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Arkadelphia, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Arkadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arkadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arkadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arkadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
