Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, My name is Mugsy and I'm looking for a loving fur-ever home - could it be with you?? Let me tell you a little bit about myself so that we can get to know each other better.
I am a 1 year old neutered male Cairn Terrier / Shih Tzu mix who came to the awesome people at NBS Animal Rescue when a nice lady found me and my friend wandering in the cold and our owners never came for us. It was a bit sad for us for a bit - but we're loving life in our foster homes now and are ready to find our fur-ever homes where we will get lots of TLC.
I am a playful fella who enjoys romping with other playful dogs in a fenced yard, playing with toys, going for long walks, and meeting new people. I'm a pretty social fella who likes being out and about with my people and meeting new people - they usually tell me how cute I am, scratch my adorable ears, and give me tasty treats! That's the best!
I'm a young fella so I am still learning how to make sure I do my personal business outside 100% of the time in new environments and I'm learning how to take treats nicely - they are just so tasty I get excited!
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. These are the things I fur-sure need in my fur-ever home!
- Family who is gone no longer than 6 hour periods.
- Children must be 10 yrs or older.
- Prefer adopter who enjoys daily walks, short jogs, or playing fetch with toys.
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
