Zeus Rules!

Zeus is a real gift from the gods! This small fellow is mighty in spirit with the heart of a hero…weighs around 7 pounds and is only 4 years old.

He is afraid of nothing! He likes everybody and expects everybody to like him…he is, after all, numero uno in the pantheon of mythological big shots!

Zeus was kept outside prior to rescue, so he is a little overenthusiastic about companionship. A little extra TLC goes a long way with this lovely boy. He has a lot of energy but he settles down at bedtime and sleeps all night.

He has a good appetite and eats his Life's Abundance well. He is working on his house training, but does hike so he has belly bands to wear until he gets his routine settled.
Zeus has been fully vetted and is ready for someone to worship him! He's tossing thunderbolts in Chattanooga, TN in the meantime!

NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences.

Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.

To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus (TN), a Wilmington Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
