Meet the distinguished gentleman Winston.  Winston is 13 years young but doesn't show his age. Excellent sight, hearing, and he has some beautiful white teeth  His weight is a trim 7 pounds. Winston apparently lost his very caring owner and is looking for a new retirement home. He loves being near his favorite person and is content to lie by your feet.

Winston does have some back and knee issues that cause him to have an awkward gait, but he gets around fine and does stairs. He walks well on a leash and tolerates his younger foster siblings. He takes arthritis type medication daily to help with his back issues. This boy is getting therapy at  the R.I.V.E.R. in Chattanooga, and if his adopter is local, his therapist has agreed to treat him for free!!!

If you are ready for a devoted companion, Winston is your man. He is being fostered in Chattanooga, Tn..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston*Adopted, a Gadsen Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Gadsen, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Gadsen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gadsen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gadsen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gadsen paves the way for another one to be saved.
