Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stella is about 7-9 months old and weighs 44 lbs. She appears to be a Shepherd/Lab mix. She will probably be a big dog. Stella’s ears and tail were cut off but she does not bear any physical scars and she recovered completely. She was found living in an unfinished building with about 12 puppies and around 12 more adult dogs. It has been impossible to housetrain Stella because she does not live in a traditional environment.
Although all the puppies have a nice comfortable room together, they are outdoors much of the time, weather permitting. Stella was found chained together with two other puppies in a ditch. She had malnutrition and was so ill she almost died. Thankfully she survived and is now thriving. She has never had dog food as it is very expensive in Iran so she is used to eating a healthy diet of chicken, rice and vegetables three times a day. Stella is energetic and loves running around and playing much of the day but she also enjoys kicking back and being mellow. She is loving, kind, friendly and super smart. She gets along just fine with other dogs and with kids. She loves everyone she meets and she will be a joyful addition to any home. Stella is very social and energetic. She needs to be active for some part of the day to expend that energy, but she can also be mellow when needed. Stella has a very happy disposition and is a joy to be around. As well as needing a home for Stella we also need help for all the Iranian puppies which we are nursing back to health, caring for and flying to the U.S. We are grateful for any support you can give in helping us these babies get a new start in life.
