Do not contact IDOHR or fill out a IDOHR adoption application for a Courtesy Listing dog.

Read what Neche's foster mom, Leti, has to say about him:

This is Neche, I intercepted him when he was on his way to the pound. A nice woman had found him and had kept him for a couple of weeks while trying to find his owner with no luck.

I kept him another 2 weeks, then when not claimed, took him to be neutered. He did have a microchip, unfortunately it had not been updated for over 5 years.

Neche is now up for adoption. He is between 5 and 7 years old, neutered, micro chipped, up to date on vaccines, housebroken, walks well on a leash, he is smaller than he looks in his pictures, just under 6 pounds, and he loves to be loved. He is good with adults, children, dogs and cats. Though he does well with other dogs, I think he would love a home where he is an only dog or no more than two.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Neche, a La Verne Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in La Verne, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in La Verne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Verne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Verne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Verne paves the way for another one to be saved.
